this looks nice to me. Do you think it is appropriate to
include in perdition itself. If so, could you make a formal patch.
I think it should update Makefile.am so that .dir-locals.el is
included in the distribution tarballs.

Placing the file below as .dir-locals.el in the root of the perdition
