I'm trying to install perdition on a new Centos 6.5 server. I'm using
the rpms from opensuse repo mentioned on the downloads page.
Upon startup, I getting the following message:
Starting perdition services (IMAP4): dlopen of
"/usr/lib/libperditiondb_gdbm.so" failed
I'm not sure where this library comes from and there aren't any
libperdition rpms that seem to provide this library.
Can anyone set me straight, please? Thanks

Hello,
I use perdition on a centos 6.5 x86_64
For the installation i had used this repo :
/etc/yum.repos.d/perdition.repo :
[home_horms_perdition]
name=Perdition: Mail Retrieval Proxy (CentOS_CentOS-6)
type=rpm-md
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/horms:/perdition/Ce…
gpgcheck=1

Using that particular repo, the only package installed is "perdition". I
see other packages for different flavors of libperditiondb, but nothing
particular to gdbm, so I'll try all of the libperditiondb packages to
see if one of those has the library in it.

What does a ldd /usr/lib/libperditiondb_gdbm.so give you? Seems to me
that you are missing the gdbm library.

That command returns "no such file or directory".
I think the real problem is that that files(libraries) I need are in
/usr/lib64. I tried linking those files in /usr/lib, but that apparently
doesn't seem to work either.
I've seen this problem with /usr/lib and /usr/lib64 before, but can't
remember how it was resolved.

I ran the command from /usr/lib:
ln -s /usr/lib64/libperditiondb_gdbm.so.0.0.0 libperditiondb_gdbm.so
and it now starts. I'm not sure it's properly running, but there was no
libperditiondb_gdbm.so in /usr/lib/or /usr/lib64.
