Hello everybody.
I am planning to move some domains from one ISP to another. Sadly I
do not have access to the users passwords i clear text.
So, can I use perdition to copy the mail from the old servers when the
users have a sucessful login to the new servers using the same
password?
Something like execute a perlscript with the password as a parameter
if username matches some key in a database..
Perdition isn't designed for moving mail, just for redirecting
people to one real-server or another.
I did some work once to have perdition execute commands on login,
though I never felt it was generic enough to merge into the code-base.
If you want to have some code that perdition trigers that moves mail
around when a user logs in (for the first time?), then this is
quite possible with perdition, though you will need to modify the code.
But perdition is a long way from being able to move mail around itself
as it only understands POP/IMAP during the authentication phase.
