[ULTRAMONKEY-USERS] Do I need UM if I'm on CentOS 5?

All,

I installed CentOS 5 and found that it's just a simple matter of doing this:

   > yum install heartbeat heartbeat-ldirectord

And viola, now I have everything that I was using on my CentOS 4 
installation that needed UM3 to get the same packages.

Is this why I don't see any more development on UM, or am I missing 
something here?
